Answers to your questions Can I attend with my kids? YES! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to be a part of the ministry at AMRBC. Our goal is to come alongside parents in their journey to disciple their kids. Please, come with your kids anytime. What do summers look like? Summers are exciting at AMRBC. We generally have 2 major trips during the summer months (Choir Tour and Camp/Mission Trip), as well as weekly Bible Studies and service opportunities. Also, 3 times during the summer, we take the Warehouse on Location (WOL) to someone’s backyard. Summers are always huge opportunities for spiritual growth. What about baptism? At AMRBC, we believe that baptism is crucially important to a believer’s walk with Christ. It is the first act of obedience. Students can be considered for baptism by setting up an appointment to speak with one of our student pastors. We hold baptism services about every 6 weeks. What missions opportunities are available for my student? We have a 4 year rotation so that students have a wide variety of experiences during their years in the student ministry. Here’s how it works: Year 1- Middle School National Mission Trip, High School Major International Mission Trip Year 2- Middle School/High School Combined, Self-Run Summer Camp Year 3- Middle School Church Planting Mission Trip, High School North American Mission Trip (Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc.) Year 4- Middle School/High School Combined Centrifuge/M-fuge Camp We also have lots of local missions opportunities throughout the year.
What are my students learning in Sunday Morning Bible Study? We use Student Life Curriculum. It is Christ-Centered and based on 8 essential truths that are communicated in relevant and life changing ways:
How do I find out details about what’s happening in the student ministry? We have quarterly Parents’ Meetings on Sunday mornings to go over upcoming events and help equip parents. Please make plans to attend these helpful parent-focused times.
What’s the best thing for my student to do to get involved? First, come to the Warehouse Wednesday nights at 6. This is an informal time of worship and teaching that will help them connect with other students. Then, come on a trip or retreat. We have spring and fall retreats each year. There’s nothing that will get a student involved like a retreat. They will make friends, experience Christ, and grow in their faith. |
