| How Will You Keep My Child Safe? |

Security The children’s wing is a secure wing. The doors remain locked at all times while children are on campus. The only people with access to the wing are parents with proper ID and volunteers who successfully passed a background check.
Children’s Badges All children wear name badges that have allergies, parent cell number, and a security ID printed on the tag. This ensures that all volunteers are aware of allergies and medical conditions as well as how to contact parents in the event of an emergency. The randomly generated security codes allow for a safe pick up procedure. Child Protection Highlights: * 2 Adult Rule: Whenever a child is present, within a children’s ministry program or event, 2 adults must also be present. If 2 adults cannot be present for a brief moment (i.e. when one takes a child to the bathroom), the classroom door must be left open so that there is clear visibility into the room from the hallway. *Bathroom Rule: Children must be escorted to the bathroom by an approved volunteer. If assistance is needed, you must leave the door open. Never be in a closed bathroom stall with a child. Children should never be allowed to go to the bathroom together without adult supervision. *Diaper Changing policy: Only approved volunteers can change diapers. Gloves must be worn by the adult. Clean changing pad sheets and gloves must be used for each diaper change. The changing area must be wiped off with Clorox wipes after each use. Hands must be washed after each diaper change.
